Why "The Duckbill Company"?

The Duckbill started as a candle company. We are passionate about crafting special fragrances that connect the senses to emotions and memories. As our followers began to bombard us with requests for other products & designs, we continue expanding our horizons to include reed diffusers, wax melts, lotions, soaps, and other artisan-crafted products. So whether you are looking for a special gift, a unique fragrance for your office, a warm, uplifting aroma for your home, or a clean, natural personal care product, we invite you to share our love of natural fragrance products.

How did you get your name?

As tempting as it may be, we don’t want to duck the question. We have a “quacky” sense of humor. Our journey began with shiplap&sage, but as we waddled along, we nearly drowned from the deluge of creativity, deciding then to form an umbrella company before we face-planted in the mud puddle of our making. Because truly, there’s nothing like singing in the rain...as long as you have a good old-fashioned umbrella.

Who are we?

The Quacky Facts: We’re a flock of three….

Andrew R - He has his head in the clouds, but usually at the head of formation with new innovative ideas.

*Visionary, marketing director, and seasoned salesman

Andrew E - He keeps our ducks in a row, and when we get caught in the weeds, tells us to “just keep swimming!”

*Manager, accountant and IT extraordinaire

Melinda - She is the energizer duck, working to get our budding duckling ideas from nest to pond as well as furnishing the necessary provisions (COFFEE!!!) for long planning & manufacturing meetings.

*Designer, creative mind, product developer

We like to say that we ducks are calm on the surface, but paddling like the dickens underneath.

The Brain behind the Bill:

While Canadian geese are well-known for V-formation flying, ducks also utilize this technique for additional lift and speed. Scientists estimate that a whole flock can fly about 70% farther with the same amount of energy than if the ducks flew alone, thereby reaching the intended destination more quickly and with less energy expended when flying in formation. Working together as a harmonious team, sharing common values and destination, we all arrive more quickly and easily because we are lifted by the energy and enthusiasm of one another.
